The Photo Project is a new concept in charity fundraising using donated high quality photography. A Photo Project creates a photography book on a theme with all profits going to a designated charity. The initial launch projects include an Edinburgh project which hopes to collect stunning images of Edinburgh to create a book that will raise funds for the Edinburgh Sick Kids Friends Foundation.
We are delighted, finally, to get The Photo Project website live with an initial 3 projects underway. There is still much to do with regard to the site itself and getting more projects going but there is no time like the present to kick things off.
We would like to thank everyone who have helped in the discussions around the concept and especially a big thank you to Alun Joseph and the guys Fotobook for agreeing to get involved.
Also, a huge thank you to the team at Ipernity for allowing us to use their name for a "Best of..." book from their site for one of our launch projects. There are another couple of projects being discussed and they'll be added soon.
We would love to get as many new projects going as we can so get thinking of themes and charities that can benefit from the plethora of amazing photography that is out there.
Please help get this message out to as many photographers as possible.
